This dependable company started in 1972 and grew to 112 stores throughout Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and Indiana and has held its spot amongst the best independently owned auto parts store until it sold off 110 out of 112 stores to CSK and other independently owned auto parts store in June 2008.  After 36 successful years of business and being sold to a new auto parts Murray’s Cheap Car Parts stores (now known as O’Reilly Auto Parts) still continue to offer great prices and knowledgeable employees.  O’Reilly local storefronts provide great service and product knowledge that still rival the original reputation that Murray’s Cheap Car Parts built for over 30 years.  In my opinion, Murray’s Cheap Car Parts backed by CSK Auto’s solid reputation can only mean continued superior customer service.  Customers will find a larger inventory at great low prices on everything from tire valve stems to major engine parts and keeping dedicated Murray’s Cheap Car Parts customers returning with the confidence that they are getting quality parts for excellent prices.

CSK Auto Inc. will help expand the great low prices of Murray’s Cheap Car Parts across the US.  along with the partnership with other great auto part companies like: Checker Auto Parts founded in 1969 with 442 in the Southwest, Northern Plains states and Hawaii, Schnucks Auto Supply founded in 1917 with 226 stores in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska and Kraggen Auto Parts founded in 1972 with 112 stores in the upper mid-west which was a big competitor to Murray’s Cheap Car Parts at one time.  Thanks to the merger between all CSK Auto and independently owned auto part stores consumers get better prices with that same great quality.
